The Church was full on Easter Sunday.
It was also full of flowers, Easter eggs and young people. (And some of the young people became full of Easter eggs during the service.)
The weather was benign – the sun out – so much so that partway through the service, it became clear that the 18th Century heating system could be turned off, and a rather better ecclesiastical carbon footprint achieved.
More ‘creatives’ than florists – they had not been holding back on the their ‘domain expertise’. One couldn’t help wondering if there wasn’t just the smallest tincture of competition amongst the bouquets, for the Church was awash with Eastertide blooms.
What a glorious time of year…
