Sadly this year we cannot celebrate Easter in the church. So here is an idea to share together….
….. every year, we give each other chocolate or decorated eggs at Easter. It is an old Christian tradition to decorate blown eggs to symbolize the empty tomb of Jesus and his resurrection. Let’s create our own uniquely-decorated community Easter tree at the front of the Church.
Put your hand to egg blowing and add it to the Easter tree that will be situated in front of the Church yard to celebrate Easter day (we will put the “tree” there on Saturday).
Please come and have a look at the tree on Sunday! (And, of course, ensure that you observe social distancing at all times.)
For help and ideas, here are some useful links:
How to blow eggs: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/howto/guide/how-blow-eggs
Ideas: www.housebeautiful.com/home-remodeling/diy-projects/g2257/easter-eggs-ideas/
Ideally, the blown and decorated eggs would be hung on thread (knotted one end then fed through the bigger hole – and thereafter the small hole with a long darning needle or the like), but if not, they can be placed around the bottom of the Easter “tree”.
Wishing you all a Happy Easter
