We have started a number of initiatives relating to the natural history in and around the church and its two grave yards.
We plan on developing these natural-history related activities – which will also incorporate the ecology of the church and its grave yards as well as start to explore the bio-diversity of these locations.
We have already started with this Spring’s “Save the toads from being squished” evenings as a group of high-vis-clad volunteers have been doing their best to chaperone distracted toads, deep in the breeding season, safely to the Nasons’ pond. Without these chaperones many of the toads end up being squashed by passing cars.
